Classes

Every legend starts with a wooden sword

You arrive in Ithaca as a Novice: a little gear, a lot of nerve. Reach Job Lv. 10 and one of the city's four orders will take you in. Master it, and a second class awaits.

Job advancement

Novice, first class, second class

Just like in Ragnarok Online and the classic MMORPGs, you change class as you grow. Every first class branches into two second classes, so your path keeps narrowing into something that's yours.

  1. 1

    Novice

Everyone starts here. Reach Job Lv. 10 to choose a class.

  2. 2

    First class

Join one of the four orders. Train up to Job Lv. 50.

  3. 3

    Second class

From Job Lv. 40, master a specialty of your order.

Novice

Job Lv. 1–10

  • Swordsman

    The Myrmidons

    Job Lv. 1–50

    Hoplite

    Later

Spear, shield and unbreakable ranks. Masters of the charge.

    Aegis Guardian

    Later

Holy defenders who raise Athena's aegis over the whole party.

  • Mage

    The Circle of Hecate

    Job Lv. 1–50

    Thaumaturge

    Later

Callers of storm, fire and ice who empty whole hunting grounds.

    Philosopher

    Later

Scholars of the aether who bend magic itself: enchant, dispel, counter.

  • Archer

    The Hunt of Artemis

    Job Lv. 1–50

    Huntsman

    Later

Trap-setters who hunt with a hawk on their arm.

    Lyrist

    Later

Bards who fight with the songs of Orpheus, inspiring allies and charming foes.

  • Acolyte

    The Asclepiads

    Job Lv. 1–50

    Hierophant

    Later

High priests of the mysteries: great heals, blessings, and calling the fallen back.

    Pankratiast

    Later

Fist fighters of the ancient pankration who chain combos into one devastating blow.

  • The Guild of Hermes

Hermes is god of both merchants and thieves, and rumor says his guild in Ithaca trains both. Its doors open in a later chapter.

Chapter One opens the Novice and the four first classes. Second classes arrive in later chapters.

The four orders

Pick a path, then make it yours

Each order trains its apprentices for a different kind of fight. How you grow from there is up to you.

The Myrmidons

Swordsman

Frontline melee

Named for Achilles' legendary warriors and sworn to hold the line. Swordsmen wade into the thick of the fight in bronze and stubbornness, taking the hits so their friends don't have to.

“First through the gate, last to fall back.”

Great for: Heroes who want to be in the thick of every fight.

The Circle of Hecate

Mage

Ranged magic

Students of Hecate, goddess of magic, who learned to pull fire, frost and lightning from the Aether shards that keep the isles aloft. Fragile up close. Devastating from afar.

“Power drawn from the aether itself.”

Great for: Heroes who love big hits and clever positioning.

Archer

Ranged physical

Sworn to Artemis, goddess of the hunt, archers patrol the crumbling edges of the isles, where one wrong step means a fall into Chaos. Swift, sharp-eyed and always one step ahead.

“Never where the monster expects.”

Great for: Heroes who value speed, range and a steady aim.

Acolyte

Support & healing

Healers of the temple of Asclepius, Acolytes carry the god's gift into the dark, mending wounds and blessing allies when the fight turns grim.

“As long as I stand, you stand.”

Great for: Heroes who'd rather keep their friends alive.

The orders are still training their first apprentices, so expect paths to change as adventurers test them. Chapter One is planned to include four to six classes or class variants.

Build planner

Plan your build

Pick a class and a level, then spend your status points. Try a classic build or invent your own.

  • Every stat starts at 1 and can reach 99.
  • You start with 48 status points and earn more every base level: 1,273 by Lv. 99.
  • Higher stats cost more to raise, so every point is a choice.

Based on the classic (pre-Renewal) Ragnarok Online stat rules. A preview of the planned rules: numbers will be tuned during testing.

How heroes grow

Every hunt makes you stronger

Small wins every time you play, and big goals worth chasing. That's how a Novice becomes a legend.

Base Level

Up to Lv. 99. Every level grants status points to spend on your six stats.

Job Level

Levels your class. Every job level grants a skill point, and the right job level unlocks your next class.

Six stats

STR, AGI, VIT, INT, DEX and LUK decide what kind of fighter you become.

Skills

Spend skill points on strikes, spells, blessings and heals unique to your class.

Equipment

Weapons, armor and trinkets that change how you fight, and how you look.

Your build

Mix it all your way. Two Swordsmen can play nothing alike.

The Armory

Look the part

Every helmet, cloak, weapon and shield shows on your hero, and every class has looks inspired by the legends: from a Myrmidon's bronze to the gold of a Champion of Olympus.

Which path will you take?

You'll choose your order when the gates of Ithaca open. Here's what the first voyage holds.
